Sep 23, 2020 | Latest News

We are sad to announce that Sophie Noonan is stepping down from her role as Country Director of The Hunger Project-UK after more than six years. Sophie was instrumental to our fundraising growth and organisational development over this time.

Sophie shared, “I cannot begin to express the great joy and gratitude that The Hunger Project and our 16 million partners have brought to my life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to each and every one of you for your leadership and commitment to end hunger and poverty in our lifetime. I will continue pursuing my humble quest to further make a difference: creating the path, and making support, tools and scientific approaches accessible to the most vulnerable, helping them transform their lives.”

“Sophie’s experience and passion for the role showed in her interactions with staff, volunteers, investors and the wider Hunger Project family. We would like to thank Sophie for her dedication to The Hunger Project UK and wish her success in her next endeavour,” said Manda Lakhani on behalf of the Board of Trustees.

The Hunger Project-UK remains deeply committed to ensuring citizens of the UK can have an impact in creating a world of self-reliance and dignity for all through their participation in The Hunger Project. Thank you for your partnership during this time of transition.
