Did you get access to clean water today? 1.1 billion people around the world didn’t (UN Water 2010).  Tuesday 22 March, 2011 is World Water Day, learn more about World Water Day and the wide range of initiatives being deployed at The Hunger Project programme projects across the world.

We have collated a range of photos on our Flickr feed highlighting some of the recent water projects that your continued support is enabling and financing. A critical aspect of our work is empowerment through training and in all our water related projects training is provided to local community leaders who in turn can train others. A hand up, not just a hand out.
